It is the responsibility of the customer to inform Creative Box Cakes Limited prior to the confirmation of booking of any food allergies or food intolerances. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform guests of allergy information. Creative Box Cakes Limited is not to be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake or any other edible items supplied.

We take every effort to ensure cakes do not contain allergens when advised of allergies and food intolerances when ordering. However, nuts, gluten, and dairy products are present in our kitchen, and as such we are unable to 100% guarantee products have not come into contact with to these allergens due to the risk of cross-contamination.

Box Bake Orders

All bakes are made to order and will be despatched as soon as possible. We aim for the product to be delivered within one week of the order date.

Occasion Cake Orders

We recommend that you book at least 8 weeks in advance to secure the date you require, especially for weekends.

We require at least 12 weeks in advance for wedding cakes as these usually entail more detailed designs and complexity.

Short notice requests will be accommodated where possible.

A signed order form, along with a deposit is required to secure your booking.

Payment terms

Deposits

We require a deposit on placement of order for all cakes, which is deducted from the final balance payable. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits are unfortunately not refundable as the required date of the order will be reserved for that order, meaning no other order can be fulfilled on that date.

Deposits are charged at 25% payable at the time of order confirmation, and no later than 4 weeks before the order fulfilment date.

25% deposit is payable on ordering unless order is placed within 2 weeks of due date, in which case full payment is due. By payment
of deposit, it is deemed that the client accepts and agrees to the terms and conditions of Creative Box Cakes Limited.

Final balance payments

For occasion cakes, final balance payments are to be made 2 weeks prior to order due date.

For wedding cakes, final balance payment is to be made 4 weeks prior to order due date .

For home bakes/bakes in boxes, full payment is required on placement of order.

Cancellation

Full payment of order balance is required if the cancellation is within one month of event date. The balance will be required because the order due date will have been reserved and the time, effort and cost of producing the order will still need to be met.

We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled with less than 4 weeks notice.

Orders paid in full and cancelled with more than 4 weeks notice will receive a partial refund of 50% of the total amount paid.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible and discuss the matter with you to try and agree on a mutually suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full price to you.

For wedding cakes, we advise wedding insurance to be taken by the customer as Creative Box Cakes Limited cannot be held liable to costs beyond the cake.

Collection and Delivery

Collection

If the cake or products are collected from us, we cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products once they have left our premises. Cakes are to be collected at a mutual and previously agreed date and time only. The collection vehicle should have a flat surface and be clean and tidy. This is the responsibility of the customer. The cake or products can be very fragile so we advise to drive very slowly and carefully and purchase non-slip matting.

Delivery and setup

We cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products we have delivered once we have a) delivered or b) delivered and set up the cake at the venue or delivery location, and received a signature for the safe receipt of the goods on our delivery note. All cakes will be delivered with an accompanying delivery note for signature.

We will always endeavour to deliver within the given time slot, however unfortunately delivery timings can not be guaranteed. Refunds will not be given for delayed deliveries. If in the unlikely event the delivery is delayed, we will always endeavour to deliver the cake to you as close as possible to the given delivery time.

There is no charge for delivery within a 5 mile radius of Creative Box Cakes. Delivery outside of this area is available with a charge to cover the travel expenses. Delivery is generally throughout North East Wales and West Cheshire. Cakes will be delivered and set up with prior agreement only mutually agreed with the client at the time of ordering.

A setup charge will be applicable for wedding cakes.

Intellectual Property

All images and designs shared with the client remain the property of Creative Box Cakes Limited and should not be reproduced or shared without explicit permission.

Photographs

We reserve the right to photograph your cake prior to delivery for our own reference and also for promotional purposes. No pictures will be made public until after the event date.

Non-edible elements

Some cakes require non-edible elements as part of the structure. We will advise of this on collection/delivery of the cake but please take care to remove any non-edible elements prior to serving the cake.

Cake Storage

Cakes should be stored in a porous box, preferably the box they came in. Fondant icing used to cover cakes is not designed to be refrigerated and colour bleed can occur as a result of this.
